Luis, Hi, I haven't seen or heard from you in a while ;) OK, Luis, I'm not defending my picture or the model! Let me please make this clear. This was an "experiment" on shooting from different angles and heights.
Kristin, threw on some B/W paints, and she was barefooted. I asked her to throw these old boots on. Since we had been shooting some H/K, I liked the B/W paints and B top.
This was not some type of "fashion" shot you see in "those" magazines you mentioned that encapsulate HIGH Engery.....
Just an experiment. I usually just shoot on a level plane, and thought it might be nice to change a bit.
The dark side, huh? The biggest problem I see here is bad makeup! I see lots of these types of shots in advertising that is supposed to encapsultae the high energy of youth - often with exuberant colors and very vivid backgrounds, and less distracting pants. :)
Hey T. Yep, you'll notice that most of my stuff edges toward the dark side I guess. Cheezy, grinny shots are OK, but I like attitude. Sexy, Kick A$$, what ever the attitude.
These boots where from a fellow watching us shoot some, and I asked Kristin to pop them on. I told her to look up at me, and quite messing with her hair.
I'm always a fan of white bg's, and high angle portraits like this, they're dynamic, graphic, whatever u wanna call it, but shadows on em kill the illusion some, so thats something to watch out for. Chin seems a bit far to the camera right, id just go ahead and have her orient her head towards the lens to avoid that blocky look, as is its making for a blocky look on her jaw (im sure plenty of ppl will disagree with me, go for it). She looks pissed off, if thats what you were after you got it, if not... (ever try saying "fuzzy pickles!", ive seen it work pretty well in the past, hehe. Go phil go~
