Hi Wayne, I've been using a flatbed scanner (Epson 1640SU with TPU) to scan my MF work. It's good value for money. I understand that the Epson 2450 also does a good job.

I'm getting my Mamiya Press Universal in the next couple of days ! By the way, what are you using to scan those big negs ?

Wayne, Barry: Thanks for the comments. As you'll note from my portfolio, quite a few of my images are taken with old cameras: an Ensign Selfix 820, a Voigtlander Perkeo I, a Rolleicord III and a Mamiya Super Press 23. (Unfortunately, the Ensign and the Mamiya seem to be dying ... sniff, sniff!) I've found the very simplicity of these tools essential to help me develop my "vision"-thing. In addition, getting large MF negatives has been a real pleasure when I scan and work on the images ... there's so much detail and tonal range!

This is a really interesting image...lots of abstract possibilities (see attached crop).
Wayne's comment seems a bit tongue-in-cheek...you've coaxed a great image out of a 1950's bellows camera...

Excellent tonal range and detail - I wouldn't expect anything else when you're using such hi-tech exquipment though !
