Very cool Liz - reminds me of some shots I took in the 80's of a Providence, RI punk band... wish I had images to post, but I gave them the negs to use on their LP and never got them back - and due to a mix-up, never got credit on the album liner notes either - damn punks ;^) Those were the days...

Ok... here's the story... Harvest was one of the most infamous hardcore-punk bands in the 90's from Minneapolis. This was their last show together. It was amazing and sad at the same time. People flew from all over the US, Canada, and even Beligum to be there. Over 800 people were at that show even after a relocation. They ended up playing in a skateboard park that barely held the amount people that came. It was an emotional time. As for the image here, I was standing behind the drummer (the only place I wouldn't get kicked) and bounced my flash off the super high warehouse ceiling. The shutter was of course left open for quite a while, as you can see. This is actually my usual settings for shooting shows. Oh yes, and my boyfriend is the singer, in the white tshirt.

Far out! It certainly has energy. Great DOF and sharpness. Share with us what you did to get this shot.
