i love the close up...seems as though your focus might have been on the second gull...a little selective sharpening on the front gulls eye would make it stand out as well...this is so great in black and white

Stunning close up Carole! Your camera has so great zoom or you are very good person with birds and they ...like you and stand to take these shots!!! I say all that becayse when I try to go closer to a bird it fly away.... well at 20 meters!!! Very good my friend!

Can't get enough of these gulls-they look so intense... Great composition on this one. I would have liked a tad more DOF to keep the front one in focus though.
