good portfolio. this shot: probably better with increased dof--though maybe not possible. as it is, the background seems to clutter the main focus. maybe try a tight crop of the focussed area? could be interesting.

In my opinion, I dont think you need any greater DOF. Thanks to the detail in the foreground, the mind 'sees' detail where it isn't and the backround becomes indiscernible. I find a picture like this makes me want to explore. Well done.
