I have to agree with Craig, Elizabeth. This looks like it is a very lovely, fun portrait that appears to have excellent tonal range. I think it would be great as a straight print (I like the toning though). As you know, I love may of your photoshop effects, but in this case, I think the texture is too "in your face" (so to speak). For me, it detracts from an otherwise beautiful portrait.

I agree Liz. It makes the girl look very, very freckled (and our daughter is freckled). I think this would make a very nice "straight" picture in either B&W or sepia as the girls expression is fun as is the "dress up". Cheers. Craig

Love the pose - not crazy about the effect. A bit too much as some have stated. Sorry I cant be of any help on a way to get the desired look - heck - you are one that I would seek for advice on PS tips so no way I could shed any light. Adorable child though and again the pose is great!

worth her biblical name
:
very, very pretty girl

(with regards to grains and freckles: it's not so bad as you think, they only should be more irregular for the intended purpose - there's a crazy virtual painting programme, 'project dogwaffle', which let's you apply the most various brush effects (irregular spots and blurs etc.) via overlay: maybe you'll like to try it)

Wonderful 'naughty' eyes. Wether PS work or not- this is a great capture on its own.

A bit too much noise- but I like it everywhere except her skin tones- maybe you could blur out the noise there......or start over (yickes!) But I like this too for the POV, composition and sepia choice..and a cute girl to boot!

Cool! looks like the evil kid Nellie in the house on the prearie. Yet i think the grain is to much.

Hi Elizabeth ,this is a very beautiful portrait, maybe you could have added less noise to her beautiful face...but Im not really so sure, this one is still sooo good.Regards,Hakan.
