I know this image is chuck full of contrast, way too much to be honest. However, I think it looks much better with all the contrast making the surroundings almost pitch black and the wonderful texture on the bed. However, I might just be saying this because I am trying to salvage pride in my picture. Let me know what you all think please.
this is an excellent b&w shot; great use of natural highlighting and dark shadows; you have achieved a good tonal range of greys, especially on the bed
I love images with contrast, and I don't think this has too mucha t all. It is also a very interesting photo. Someones bed is always fairly intimate. Great job. Tim
First, I think there is still enough detail in the shadowparts (on my monitor, that is). I like the tones on the bed and wall. The window still has a bit of detail, but not much. Maybe it is better to have adequate detail in the window, or just none at all. Now it is not one or the other. The scan is not optimal - has some dirt on it and horizontal stripes. Cool image though.
