The picture I posted yesterday (LONG LONGHORN III) was basically why I tend to cut off antenna, legs,etc. I prefer to see the close-up details of my subjects. Anyway, these Longhorn beetles tend to come in three types. There's the runners, who tend to run like hell when they see you, the ones who think their camaflauge is perfect and won't move, and the last group like this guy. I guarantee that if you let any of your appendages get too close, you're going to get bitten, and these guys can draw some serious blood.Natural light. Kinda like the Sheepdog hairdoo.
