It?s so beautiful this image that I do not try to understand what these objects are, I only want to admire the shadows, the lights, the forms, the geometry that is everywhere, it?s like a modern art work. Bye Max
I sound boring and uncreative... but I have just commented on M Ferraz' capture... and the same comments apply...
Positive shapes are the solid volumes (eg. buildings and objects), whereas negative shapes are the empty spaces between them.
With light, shadows are created, which are considered negative... but with out them, as MB said, we are without light!
In architecture, Bruno Zevi (an architectural theorist of the mid twentieth century) says the test of connoisseurs is that they will not only be able to define the shapes of the buildings, but also of the streets and squares between them. And remember light and shadow will define it all.
