they certainly have that Kingfisher build, head and beak...just different colors...excellent composition...they work so well into the tree...nicely framed by the bark though that one low branch is a distraction

Apparently I was awoken most mornings by these guys when I was little according my Dad. I was born in Queensland, and then released into the wilds of NZ. :) Very nice capture!

Really very good photo, for us. Rose did not seem interested. Removed the bronze casting. It is almost 20cm deep so that the scanner has trouble showing the farthest parts. Placed another beautiful scanner flower, instead.

So interesting, especially when you describe what the picture is all about. I can remember the old Tarzan movies, yes I am that old. Great picture. Thanks, Don.

Carole, the places you take your great pictures always surprise me. On the road back home, on your back yard. You are lucky and talent of course. Love the explanation as well. Marilia

Wonderful photo Carole. You are so lucky to have these fellows in your back yard. In U.S. we would have them in a cage! lol

Good shot with nice composition, lighting and colours. The birds looks a little bit too soft/unfocused in my mind. Regards, Joksa.
