To answer your question, the "lac blanc" is located in the Belledonne range (french alps, 20 km northern of Grenoble)

On my image "Looking Across the Lake" The image was take at Yosemite CA and the lake name Tenaya Lake. Nice image maybe you can scan it again.

i can get past the scan lines...but one noticeable thing is th road appears tohave a slight tilt to the left...a slight rotation cw, maybe a degree would correct that...the perspective is good...amazing to see an empty road...you'd never see that where I live...
