About
So this is another pano I did in the Great Sand Dunes. Standing in cactus and catching sun rays! This is a stitch of 15 different shots equaling over 25,100 pixels across after stitching. I actually bought a new computer to process the rest of the pano shots. They chew through RAM! New computer is an Alienware 17 R3 with 4k display, 6th gen i7 processor, Nvidia G970 GC with 3 gigs dedicated RAM, and 32 gigs of main RAM!! POWERHOUSE!!! I'm so happy, this thing eats these big pano's for breakfast and asks for desert! My last computer spent at least 2.5 hours in hourglass sessions during post processing and stitching. Hourglass sessions on this one equaled under 5 minutes easily and I use a LOT of software! Just a tip for you all out there that are interested in heavy processing, get a really good computer. Gaming systems are incredibly powerful and well worth the money! (Stepping down from soap box)
Sorry to hear that Paul. Hopefully you were successful in recovering most of what you lost. There is some pretty good recovery software out there now if you still have the drive?
Nice work Wayne. I did a few of these but lost the images when my hard drive crashed. Something I will definitely get back to because I really enjoyed it Regards
