good work, it must be really really difficult to do it by yourself. i had a hard time trying to focus on the eye in the picture i posted.. i should have tried with less light and larger aperture, f22 made everything kind of in focus of course but i usually dont think when im taking the picture. i think your portfolio is really good. congratulations:)

I find it grate in the way it is. The photo gets the atention to the eye (principal element of the photos) and the hand wich manipulate the lens. I like it.

thanks John for your comment. So I guess in your opinion this image would work better if everything was in focus? or maybe creating a unfocus bit with filter?

What's not to like about your image, Derek? To me, your eye is much more in focus than the rest of your face, which seems to be what you intended. OK, maybe your hand could be just a little sharper, especially the finger and thumb holding the filter.
