since you like it my friend,I had to tell you it is the house of the Ottoman Governor of Mosul ,the deserted room behind is just forming the back of the main reception hall I guess,the roof has fall down.
indeed an American author have visited the place and wrote a book about the Mosul under the rule of the family.

Dear Saad,
This is a wonderful photograph and rewards a close look. The textures are so fine that they are almost tangible. I like the black background on the left. I'm glad you didn't bring out any detail there. It is a good contrast to all of the other texture. As I look at the picture, I wonder how it would look it if you warmed it up just a bit. It might bring out even more detail in the wood and the concrete.
