I think, i'll buy one probably. :)
But i did not decide which one.
Panasonic 500-600 Euro but Leica is 1000 Euro ???
I've used Panasonic "Lumix DMC-LC1" with Leica zoom lens and i was so happy.

PS:
The DSLR D50 is very fast at the FIRST image, as you say at instant, but for tracking a person ( or cat as I did on the lastposting ) the next images are delayed ( with the D50 max about 3 images / second in normal raw mode).
So in that way the DSLR is faster at the first image, but the rest of the sequence the D50 and FZ100 perform the same timewise.

Yes, there is a small delay but for still images it is not cumbersome to me.
If you want to catch the moment:
another option is to run in HD mode and capture say 2 minutes and then replay in image by image ( 50 fps? ) For Usefilm that is no problem at all.
Have to experiment in that mode.
There is also 10 images/sec burst mode in 14 MB raw or say 2 Mbyte Jpeg (normal )
I have an 8 GByte fast SD and I notice I can run approx 8 battery packs (8* 533 images ) on one card. So another battery pack would be handy esp for the burst and HDmovie mode.

I just recharged the battery and I made 533 jpeg full size images ( 5 MB) on one battery.
