I think to do justice to this picture only a Nikkor 55mm macro should be used with f32 ??? Good picture but like all others mentioned DOF is less. A V Bhaskar-India

thank you for all your comments.. the DOF is paper thin, hence the focus on the flower is not uniform. This is what happens when you use a 50mm lens in reverse..

Subha, Nice attempt on macro. Me too wish a better focus.
Finding a flower or any subject for macro is very easy but getting the picture is really tough as you would want to eleminate distraction in the bg. The bg should be very nice and even.

Damn I love the pic, I just wish it was sharper. Subha, you can actually get a sharper picture by shooting with the coolpix in macro mode and then cropping than by using a normal 50mm lens in the reverse position. The optics in the 4500 aren't really compatabile with external optics.
