Thanks again Kes.
I was a bit hesitant about this one due to the softness at the top of the wings. But I figured the image was more about the head of the butterfly in relation to the purple sunburst of the wildflower. So, I thought I would see what others said about it. Thanks for the comment.

You're right, and it's partly because the administrators of this site seem to have abandoned it. I would post more, but have been very busy with other things lately and haven't had as much time to play with my photos.:)

Hi Riny,
Thanks for the comment. I tried looking it up, but also couldn't find out if the male or female is larger. I did find out the male only lives for a couple o weeks and they have slightly different colourings.
I'm not really much of a butterfly enthusiast. But, they take great pictures. :)

Glad you like it! I haven't been around here too much lately. It seems there isn't quite as much action as there used to be. Only about a page of new images in a day compared with 6 or 7 pages a few years ago. Too Bad :(
