Excellently done macro of nature and wild life, Dave! I think you evolve to a specialist in such subjects! The whole exposre balance and DoF do nothing else that putting the spotlight on the main subject. The softened background does the same too by isolated the insect from its surroundings in front of our eyes. The complexity of the many shapes and lines on the foreground might be a bit too much, but still the view of the dragonfly is perfectly clear!
Such a good one!
