You joined this site out of respect and admiration for people who cultivate the artistic expression through photography.
I joined this site to improve my photographic skills by having my photographs viewed and critiqued by other photographers.
I am not a professional photographer, photography is a hobby and is something I have always enjoyed doing. There are many types of photography, fashion, nature, sports, glamour and artistic, just to name a few. In your narrow minded view, all you see is an exploited female. I, and others see, light, shadow, color, sharpness, detail, framing and overall composition. The picture was taken at an end of summer group shoot / party. It wasn’t an artistic endeavor. The models brought their own wardrobe and posed of their own free will, so nobody was deliberately exploited anybody. Art is like beauty, it’s in the eye of the beholder. One person’s garbage is another person’s treasure. And besides, what is art? One might think displaying a dead body all sliced up a work of art. Somebody else would call that the desecrating of a dead body. So before you start to rant to some other photographer about your personal agenda, just remember there are all types of photography, not just the artistic kind and there are technical aspects of photography too.
I am not a photographer, nor I aspire to be, but I have always appreciated nice arts and have joined this site out of respect and admiration for people who cultivate the artistic expression through photography. But unfortunately there are people on this site who deliberately exploit female look minimizing it to just a marginal, unimportant sexual object. Because representing her like "a simple brainless, faceless slot on the floor" is not only taking away any personality and value she might have, (and you would want to show if you pretend to be an artist), but in the same time, you include the rest of us in the same "Garbage can". I think your pictures are a simple embarrassment compared to the work of those artistic and talented people on this site who are able and capable of showing a creative genius not just a simple...kitsch.
