The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and only survivor of the original Seven Ancient Wonders.
It is part of the Giza Necropolis, home of several pyramids and the Great Sphinx. The three larger pyramids are thought to belong to Khuf, Khafre, and Menkaure: father, son, and grandson.
Built 4600 years ago, there are over 2 million blocks of stone incorporated in Khufu’s pyramid alone.
It is speculated that it took over 100,000 workers approximately 20 years to complete the Great Pyramid.
