I really like feel of this picture. The sky is beautifull as are the horses. I have to agree with Mary regarding the inclusion of technical info. Seeing as this is a site to show your work and especially a learning site, every little bit helps.

That's it, Marty! You found the word that I couldn't find...this image has a rounded feeling to it. It looks both real and surreal to me. By playing with the light you did a nice job of contouring the image in a pleasing way.
I need to learn how to do that!

Note for Mary Sue Hayward, Hi mary, you asked about what enhancments i make to the photos, Lighting, being what makes or breaks a photograph, i usually go in and inhance it, if it needs it, I add to the shadows, widen them, make them more prominent, then go in and work on the highlights, gives everything that round look,then I add a touch of texture, cant help it, I try not to, but I have always loved the little bite it gives the image, even when I worked in the darkroom, on this photo of the horses, its really the sky that makes the photo, when I saw yesterdays sky we had, I spent al day out taking photos, it was an unusual day,stunning skies!!spots of sunlightand shadows of clouds rolling over the sand hills, was very cool!! :)

Marty, you are doing a lot of post processing that is intriguing. It would be fantastic if you could include technical info (like the cam, film, shutter, aperture( when you upload, plus a description in the About regarding what manipulations you used to produce the image. I know that is asking for a lot, but you can teach a lot of people with your comments!
This image has those sweet rich colors and the dreamy quality noted by Diana. It does look a bit magical, like it is an imagined scene in a pastoral setting!
