Yes Nick, I think you are right then image does seem to lack some depth making it look hazy, but I guess this is mostly because it was hazy. I played around with this myself a fair bit during raw conversion, but in the end went with a very close to as it was image to post

Very well thought out in terms of composition balance, Dan. I find the tension between the partially taken trees in strong sharpness against the somewhat softer contoured rainbow very good. Same I think also about the color contrast between the two palettes in front of the sky. The tension is supported by two elements here.
Could the contrast be higher? I find your enhanced soft magenta in the atmosphere appealing but does ist make it a bit "hazy"? Or is it only my impression? I adjusted the levels (attachment) and some additional clarity walked on, but the atmosphere was weakened.
