Agree on the odd right corner. Simply had no inspiration how to handle it. ( without at the cost of the precious black wood with elec gear ) I did manage to get the dark wood and electric gear right, that was the main purpose.
Will look for some more watermill photos.

Electricity is being used by very very old civilisations. What I was referring to is that in the time Vincent spend his time in Holland, electricity supply to households was not yet common.
I refer to one of his famous dutch based paintings of 1885, the potatoe eaters

The ceramic insulators and iron support remind me of similar stuff used in oud old parential house and I would date them ~~ 1940 ?

I simply love this sort of work Wolf. I made one of something similar recently, but didn't post it. There's something about street utilities which appeals. I'm just curious why you left the top right corner in...my focus is on the porcelain insulators, their brackets and the wood.
Oh, and please could you kindly post any pics you took of the watermill?
