Hi Kelly, this is a nice try, but several things could improve this photograph still. The cropping: you have a large dead space on top, above the model, which is useless, not adding anything to the picture, on the other hand, you cut off part of the feet, and a piece of her hand. Further, the reflection of the flash in her glasses is making her eyes almost dissapear, or at least very unclear. She is also pinching (if that is correct, english is not my mother-tongue) her eyes, which is not good of course. Her overall facial expression is not that of a happy model, mostly due to the light of the flash I think (the pinching again). Another thing that might improve the photograph (not sure about that one) is the use of a longer focal length, this way the background would be more blurred, and thus less distracting. The little wound on the lips of the model is also a bit distracting and not very flattering for the model, another pose might have helped here. I hope you are not offended by these guidelines, but see them exactly as they are meant to be, guidelines, nothing more, nothing less, use it to learn, same way as I do, since I still have to learn alot...
