About	Taken at this years Chino Air Show. The Douglas Dauntless was an aircraft carrier based dive bomber that went into production in 1940 and could carry a 500 or 1000 lb bomb. The Dauntless played a major role in the Battle of Midway where it was responsible for sinking 18 Japanese warships, including 4 aircraft carriers. This Dauntless is one of only a few left and is a combat veteran from WWII having served with the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
