About The London Underground usually provides me with something a bit out of the ordinary. This reflection really surprised me.After trying out a couple of crops the original frame was the only one I felt worked...you can see where it was taken.

hilarious and a bit poetic about being fitted into working life. Yeah stick it in the contest (black and white) agree the orange gives a yard stick on reality but that survives with the frame surely.

The underground can be surreal at the best of times. This is very well observed. Personally I'd have cropped this much more aggressively, but I take the point that it would no longer be an underground shot then.

I saw the exhibition in the new AVE station in Malaga last autumn but I'm sure it would be easy to Google.I did a similar B/W version of the image above but with less noise and with a contrasty white bar to the side of the man. Thanks again for the idea.

I've reworked the image in BW too, here is my interpretation; your pint is very good Tony, love candids in the underground :)

Thanks for a useful comment!Although the red bar adds an element of reality into an otherwise unreal scene it's elimination does result in a more aesthetically pleasing image.I've tried it in a very contrasty B/W version and that works too. Thanks! If it prints out well I might even enter it for the Caminos de Hierro...they seem to favour the unusual. This years winner was excellent, did you see the exhibition?
