Nice shot of a beautiful area Stan. I love that desolate feel. It's the kind of place to be when you want to be alone for a while. As long as you are prepared for anything.

Thanks Paulo, I am glad you can watch without having to be cold. The good thing is we only have bothersome insects 6 mos of the year. The cold keeps them out of the way for this time of year. I do love to ski in the snow!! Nothing like a deep powder day to get you excited!! Keep warm my friend.

Thanks Dan, this is a great lens. Has great clarity and is very quiet focus. I also have an EF 35-73.5-4.5 that has surprised me with it's great versatility and bokeh. Something to be said for some of the early EOS lenses. This was a real score. I got it for landscape and architecture.

Thanks James, I like primes because they force you to find a sweet spot. This one rocks. I love and ski the mountains behind the foreground. I ski the other side of them with my buddies. Thanks for the great comment and encouragement.

Thanks Marty, I got the lens for my own birthday present in September. Picked it up on Ebay for a great price. I was an older EF lens with the stainless mounting ring. It was almost new. I did prime time yesterday with the 40D for some personal enjoyment. This lens likes f22. So glad you liked it.
Be well, the bop

Nice and crisp shot. When did you get that glass? I don't remember it? I love the DOF choice.

Thanks Riny, this was out of camera with my small prime. It was so cold and clear that the image seemed to almost glow. I walked fast to stay warm as I took a lap on the hiking trail. Thanks so much for the nice comment. I am making friends with a new Canon 40D. So far so good.
Be well my friend, Stan

Thanks AJ, I appreciate that very much. This was taken in a small fishing access area yesterday when walking with my camera. It was 0 F at noon. The air was clear and cold and there were many ice crystals forming on the surface of the water. The sky and clouds were just fabulous over the mountains. So glad you liked this.

There's a fabulous depth in this landscape, from the vegetation in the foreground to the mountains in the distance.
