About A friend has rented a loft apartment downtown, but she's driving up with all her stuff, so we made good use of her place with a few models before her arrival! Here is Taylor out on the balcony.

LOL! Glad you're having as much fun from my weekend as I was. (ok...*almost* as much fun).

And in this case it worked well, Paul. As already said, I think that I would rather try to get the image more "normal" but she seems to be predestined for such a shot. She seems to be rather a "summer type" of guy. Or perhaps this is what the image just suggests to me. Both would only mean that it succeeds to look as what you intented.

Cheers!

Thanks, Nick.
Yeah, I could have dropped my light by a half a stop or so but my main intent was to have her at a slightly higher exposure than the area behind her.

I must admit that the reason for taking a closer look to this one was that it is simply different from your other more "directly posing" imahes, Paul. Not better or worse, simply different and so it stands out for itself.

Taylor's eyes are already strong on the thumb but on the fullsize image they are even stronger. The complete and great description of a look! And that under not so easy lighting conditions! The exposure balance boosted light on the areas that are directly hit by light, but the important thing (the face) kept its full definition and plasticity in the subtle shadow. Here I think that a bit less expisure would retain that plasticity and add some more details on the boosted parts, which nonetheless is already matter of taste and intention. Your approach added more light to her overall view, in the sense that she appear a bit like those older images of actresses that were taken with a soft focus lens. There is such a good sense for diffuse light here!

Glad to see that the man and his D20 keep it up!

Paul, lejos la mejor foto que he visto de tu porfolio, me gusta la espontaneidad, el color de sus ojos, sin duda arman mucho a la foto, los colores son magnificos y la modelo es bellisima.
