It is a great camera, no doubt. I haven't got my teeth into it properly as yet so you are way ahead of me. I will investigate the CA setting pronto, sounds great for there are a lot in my family who would like the talents of a camera that bent the rules a little  . Barbara, I am a typical man, I only read instructions if I get stuck which is why I am ignorant about the CA setting. Shame on me. I will be hoping to do a few people shots over the weekend so I will read up on it and try it out. The only filter I have bothered to buy is a polariser as I use Photoshop CS2 which has some useful filters if I ever want to alter an original shot. Which filter did you treat yourself to? Hello StingRay, I am glad I got the Canon 50D,
I did get one lilter to go on the lens, but it will be a long time befor I can get any more filters. Have you tryed out the CA setting on the
camera, I read a little about that setting, it said it makes old people like me look younger, well a softer picture, I haven't tryed it out yet.

Hiya Barbara....me too, the 50D is going to be my last camera after a large part of my life and spare money has been spent on our fabulous hobby. Every camera I have ever owned was the 'bees knees', the all singing and dancing best ever....until the next one came along This time I mean it......absolutely the last one, I think Be well, take care, best wishes....Ray

Yes, I have a good Santa, this will be my last camera, but I do love it, and it take picture at all most dark, I have a flash on it to keep the flash from going off for now, still have a lot to
learn. I thought my little Canon Digital Rebel was specal. BK
