Yes, Brazil is a continental country and we have a diverse geography and climate extremes as allowing the snow to the south and the dunes to the northeast, in addition to beaches, mountains, forests and others in a mixture of heat and cold, but most of country really has a tempered tropical climate.

I'm gonna post this explanation in "about" John, it's about the two tones you talked about. The orange side of the sand is rich in...iron, the wind are always moving the sand and the iron is heavier then silicon, then it rools down and keeps in the lower levels. The upper tops are basically silicon, so it's always whiter.

Maravilha essas corês quentes , as sombras das nuvens refletindo , os detalhes na areia..; na minha opinião só faltou um detalhe, como um objeto de referência para termos ideia desta grandeza ; porque um grão de areia pode ser um grão de areia e um grão de areia pode ser também um deserto.
