About
This is Aunt Rudy. I had to dig quite a long time to find a photo of her and this is not even a very good one. When I was a kid she would "take care of business" by whumping us with her shoe. She was also not against hair snatching and ear twisting. But in her defense we deserved it. And it took just a few run-ins with her to keep us on best behavior. I was not yet in my teens when she died. I was a pallbearer. She made great cookies and always had Tang. (I remember one time when she chased my cousin Phil around the house with her shoe. (If she had been thirty or forty years younger she would have caught him)
this kine of ladies are so prevalent in our society,my grandmother was like that, the strange things about them, they are being loved as if something inside us telling us that they do what have they done only for our benefits, my grandmother passed three months ago,at the age of 105 year mostly, the old documents say she was 90+ but it was incorrect, the people were reluctant to register their kids at that time, she died in my home,I was taking care for her for the last fifteen years, and brought her to my home for her last three years, her name was Mariam,(Maria) Saad.
Are you kidding? That woman would chase us, grab us... hold her shoe on-high and beat the devil out of us... and always with a wicked smile on her face... and we still loved her. Maybe because she had Tang... and she made great cookies.
I remember Tang very well. I addition, we have a saying in Holland that and old lady who is rude to you is called " een oude tang " i.e. something like an old set of pliers. So auntie Rudy WAS a Tang ? ;-)
