There was no tripod for this, Steve. I cranked the zoom to 200mm and then started walking back to frame my shots.
It's pretty tricky, as my shutter priority was limited to either 1/125 or 1/250 since I was lighting her with a giant softbox camera left. As a result there was a fairly high amount of blurred shots (maybe 30%).
I'd guess I was 15 yards away for this head-shot.

Hello Paul,
Great shot here. I love the DOF. I see that you were using a 200mm 2.8 lens. Can you tell me if that was on a Tripod? Also, how far away from the subject were you here? Another Great image.

Very nice. Depth of field is great, you just rock. I did find this spot Saturday....we had a Jazz dinner at Sam's and there was your spot!!!!
