Thanks so much Bipradas, this is very interesting to learn about. I have always enjoyed the beauty of India as a child looking at National Geography and the encyclopedias. Your photography is a treat to see it first hand. The images do tell a story. I would like you to send Ganesh to Wall Street and help those guys out. They have become so greedy that they are getting a dose of their own medicine. Thanks again for teaching me some of your culture. Be well, Stan

Thanks Stan for your comments on this.
I have a separate whole Idol image of Goddess Durga , as you can see there is a Lion fighting it with Mahisasur, the man next to Goddess Durga, Beside Goddess Durga her four children namely Ganesh(God of Business), Kartick(God of Beauty), Laxmi(Goddess of Wealth) & Swaraswati (Goddess of Education).
All this according to Hindu Mythology. And offcourse Goddess Durga is symbol of Supreme Power & Protection. Every september - october in West Bengal(India) this Durga festival for 5 days is The main Festival for Bengalees around the world.
Thanks again Bipro

Dear Stan,
This is an image of a lion biting the hands of an evil man called "mahisasur" in our language. It is a part of the entire idol of Durga that one will see in Durga Puja - the most popular, favourite, and famous festival of the Bengali Indians. This idol is mainly made of straw and mud, as you can deduce from the picture itself. This is to be richly coloured after the mud dries out.
