About This 1 goes out to Stan Hill, because he would appreciate the story behind it…

This little fellow was flying all over my garage one day. I watched him from my office the whole time wanting to be free. I took a break from my work and went to get my camera… hehehe

After I entered the garage he went crazy and nose dived at me and everything… Then about 15 minutes of being very quiet, and then singing him some Barry Mantilo songs he got very mellow…

Had to shoot fast but steady on this one using a shutter speed of 1/30 and it is not very forgiving without IS…

After the shoot we had a beer or two and then I opened the garage door, so he could go home and he got a FWI (Flying While Intoxicated)! Poor guy, but I will send him some smokes and all!

Martin

Stan,

I can see that he moved on the right side, but his left side stayed very still, regarding this shot.

Well I can give you a link to one I did using a 1/10th of a shutter speed, but my body and arms were braced on some rocks, but the camera was not.

I will post one, that I used an unheard of 1/5th for a hand held. It's sort of cool I guess. I would rather use a tripod, but when push comes to shove you can only use what you have at the time... ;)

Your Loving Son,

Marty

Marty I am sure he was liking stretching those wings in the great outdoors. I like the patterns on the wings. Your right about hand held low speed. Heloiza did one a couple of days ago at 1/6second hand held. Blew my 2 brain cells right of their perch. I am sure the Manolo was the icing on the cake. Bud Light or Miller Lite? Great taste or less filling?
Be well, Dad
