About One more photographic problem. What could be done better here? Can it be "saved" at all?

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Indranil!

The insects, small animals etc, are the *what* to shoot, not the *how*. The composition is not really finished here for me. It is not as smooth as it should be for such an image.

cheers!

To me the problem is the unfinished composition, Aziz. It still doesn't have that kind of balance that fits the rather "silent" subject". But so I keep on trying, I guess.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the comment, and the suggestion, Dave! perhaps such a crop like on the attachment? Now, the more I see it the more I think that also the left side should be cropped. I guess a closer zoom or standing nearer the subject would be good.

Cheers!

Cropped it after Dave's idea

I like this photography. Specially the texture and colour is fantastic. Nice contrast between snow and wood.

As you ask "What could be done better here?", If there will be some animates, insects and small animal can enhance the scene. But its all about luck to get them ;)

Cheers!

What is the problem ?
Very good focus and dof, and appropriate contrast.
I'm not agree with cropping.

I like the texture and detail, Nick, and the contrast between the snow and wood. Maybe a slight crop at top and bottom to produce a tighter frame.
Dave.
