spider but ...really looks like having a purple lamp on her belly...lol... amazing that color, reminds me some jelly fishes that shinning... ok, perhaps a kind cross between a jelly fish and a spider, excellent unique kind Harry.

Beautiful and very unusual! Amazing how the spider web didn't pick up on film. Is that purple glow on the spider natural or was it the way it reflected light from a flash?
