About The absence of people in that yard, right between the sectors of the building, made the place look deserted but added also some strange kind of silence and peace to it under the strong sunlight. I thought that perhaps the two things, absence of humans and peace, are so connected with each other that the one results into the other. Like a real self-fulfilling prophecy.

Again the image is far away from being perfect, but perhaps the light and the atmosphere came out well. Any comments would be very welcome.

Just because of the monotonic increase of the Harry advice function priorly to this. I conjecture that the attached relation could be proven as a theorem. ;-)

Cheers!

Nick

P.S.:
Ah(t) = Harry's Advice function
En(t) = Nick's eye index
t = time

And here is the cropped image (as previously attached) with increased contrast. (Again burned that pathway a bit.)

I find this the best of all possibilities! Thanks once again for all your time and help, Harry!

Increased contrast (of the previously cropped B&W one) after Harry's idea

Nick Karagiaouroglou Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:127263} 7/27/2008
Right! I only burned a bit the quite uniformly white pathway at the right before turning it to B&W and increasing the contrast (+20).

Thanks a lot for the good hint, Harry! It was exactly what it needed!

Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the in depth going comment, Visar!

As Harry pointed out there were many problems with the image, especially the hues, but I think also with the scan. Anyway, you got exactly my own impression of that ghosty abandoned looking place and so I am very glad for that.

The idea of such an agora is really great! Actually I have that already but only in a "remote" sense. There is a real good TV show in Greece, which I watch via internet, and it is exactly as you wished. It's just laughing with the clowns like Bush and Co. Unfortunately only in Greek, but the people there just s**t on what the western "civilisation" says.

Actually, those clowns provide me with stuff to roll laughing on the floor each and everyday. Perhaps you had also the luck to come in touch with that "Sunset Man" that complained (poooor guy ;-)) to UF about one comment of Fabio Keiner? Fabio dared say something that those analphabets didn't like, and voila! That was declared "anti-american" and his comment was removed. Of course I wrote them and tried to clarify that a discussion is not what they think - namely to say always good things about each and every idiot. They removed also my message without a single comment. And now, just look what that idiot of "Sunset Man" did ( http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1450694 ). Follow the messages and I promise you another good "cracking joke". ;-)

I have nothing against such idiots. Nothing enough efficient, that is! ;-) So let's have a scotch on that agora and keep on laughing with them.

Going to your image now!

And the B&W image. What is missing here?

Ciao!

Turned it to B&W after Harry's idea

Huh? Harry evolves to a great banker!!! ;-)

Well let me try to stabilize the economy of the image. Again I tried my best in RGB tune up and also turning to to B&W (next attachment). Hmmm, it seems that the corrections are still beyond my forecasting abilities! But thanks a lot for the suggestions!

Cheers!

My (imperfect) RGB tune after Harry's idea

when i look at these last series of your shots, of the ghost buildings- made for people and yet distant from them, away from noise, laughter, nonsense, absurdity, and whatever else (?)-- I get haunted- i feel spikes of creeps penetrated me through and through; it takes my right into Bokanovsky's laboratories of our Brave New World - of those brave new people, who are to leave the compound at sharp 1200 hrs and be back into their 12m2 supramodern office sharp at 1300 hrs- and itno a world too virtual to have something true, such as the feeling- which if you want to give importance (you might reduce them into a few strogest sentiments that accompanied humanity all the way) and only here and there, crisps of it stand the test of time- as aparently the world outside has grown cold-- and the sun outside, is still shining, though wearily, over a few tables- existing, too reall and yet of a fantastic character- some prohpecy fullfilled Nick!!

ghostly!!

how about an agora island Nick- somewhere wherever light could take us, somewhere, where Bushism and alike would be outloud cracking jokes for the new world order!!
ah, dreams!!~ good that they can't take them away!

my throught is getting soar now with an agrrrrrrrrrrrhhaaa- some more skotch-

v.

PS, i think i made something similar to this, which i am just uploading!

The basics are subject to inflation but i see recovery of the market wit a proper crop. Seen the instability of colors, uh, currencies I suggest to choose the strong valuta of b/w and options in toning.
