The best part about layer masks, compared with using a darken or dodge brush is that if you make a mistake, just swap colors and correct it; it's always reversible.

purists would definitely knit their brows on the chopped fingers at the top and the stiletto at the bottom, but pose wise this is excellent, Paul !

Well, PART of the great outline of Haley is lighting, the other part is a layer mask. I applied a gradient up from the bottom edge to match the lighting of the distant wall, and then painted out the gradient on Haley.
