very good shot, already a very nice abstract composition, with strong details on the texture - sharp, and the colours are very nice, I mean the difference between the brighter and the darker parts. Best regards!

Thanks Paul,I am not exactly sure about the origen of the name Schoenmakerskop but I suspect it came from the small hill next to the sea, close by. These rocks (about 5 meter from forground to tip) is a small part of a magnificent geologic formation exposed right on the beach, of which I will post a few more images in near future. Thanks for your interest and comment! Joggie

I always find such formations on rocks extremely fascinating, Joggie, so you give me quite a good thing to look at!
I find the very clear details on tiny inclusions on the main body of the rock extremely well fitting the nice almost parallel curves of the natural abstract sculpture. The details and the curves together make it really look and feel like hard heavy stone, formed by the long interaction with wind and water.
I also think that the light difference between the "main" rock and the rather darker "background stone" add a very live touch here. It puts the main sculpture in the best possible light for enhancing the view!
"Only" rocks, but on such images they really rock!
Cheers!
Nick

Geweldige rotsformatie. Het lijken wel voeten en dat bij een plaats die er naar genoemd kan zijn: Schoenmakerskop. Wil ik graag weten, hartelijke groete, Paul

Fabulous, a masterpiece! The rocks in the foreground look like the feet and toes of a statue. As though they've been carefully carved. The colors and textures are amazing. Regards, M
