About	This photo was taken on top of Massada, the fortress in which the Jews fought one of their last battles against the Romans & later committed collective suicide in order not to become slaves. The expression on the cat's face seemed to me that of determination & desperate resistance.

The cat fights on I was watching a tiger the other day mark it's territory just in a pen or big display.

Thanks for the photos of Massada. I read a bit about the terrible events there. I can't make my mind up whether they were brave or foolish to commit mass(ada) suicide. Certainly, it takes a great deal of bravery to kill your own, and the Romans would not have been kind to them. But sometimes slavery at least leads to survival - maybe the children.

The British national anthem Rule Brtiannia contains the line 'Britons never never never shall be slaves' so we have the same zealous sentiment in my culture. Seems we humans when pushed do do some odd things.
