I guess this way we all do, Dan. Like adding more and more little pieces to the puzzle and converting it by the time to an integrated overall "picture" or "map" of photography matters.

Just trying as good as I can to say something reasonable about some given image. Many times this algorithm will cause annoyance and disliking, and so it's nice to hear that the set of people that find me nice has at least one element, i.e. is not the emtpy set! ;-)

Such a strong one and completely free of any wish for a "compromise", Dan! It carries much of that kind of older fashioned colors which fit excellently the strong, hard contours of details under the perfect light balance!
In some ways it appears "unreal" to me, especially because the goose seems to have left all frames of purely "physical" existence. It invades the layers of hues and depth as a familiar stranger!
In some ways the photo is a natural view and in some other ways an artificial scene of some theater play. Or perhaps a landscape in a crystal ball. The unbelievably endless DoF under a slight overexposure here and there makes the daylight very tangible but still generates some strange surreal look!
This is how to make the ordinary look extraordinary!

Fascinating, Dan! The duck walking into the surreal scene is, well, surreal! There is a very slight suggestion of motion blur on the duck which helps with the dynamic feeling of this addition to a static landscape. Great image!

This is excellent Dan. Great composition with beautiful colors. I love the overall mood of this shot. You're making me miss the winter time with all these IR shots, it always look like there's snow on the ground (I know that's not the case). Excellent work!
