I've been chasing these cardinals since last fall, trying to get an up close and personal, with very little success. The only way I got this one was by shooting from my living room.
Cal, Thanks for the empathy. I can't tell you how much time I've spent trying to get a shot of the neighborhood cardinals. They are so skittish! Because of that, I've found the only way to shoot them is from inside the house, ducking under the windows, and sneaking up on them! Because of that, this shot was taken thru the window screen, and the contrast had to be adjusted a little in Photoshop to remove the gray cast of the screening. There was no flash used. Thanks.
