I envy you for having your way with words. I told you before, you leave me speechless with your comments. I am so glad you like this image. I have been working on a NYC project of my own. I want to put a photobook together for my mom, so she can NY thru my eyes. She hasn't been here in quite a few years but will be spending Christmas with me which I am so very excited about.
I hope you are doing well my friend and I wish you a great weekend in sunny FL.
Extra hugs for this wonderful comment and the weekend.
Thank you!!!!!
Julie.

I forgot to say beautifully and sophisticatedly composed, with attention grabbing angles, shapes, and tonalities. I envy you having such never ending subjects. Another hug, my friend. Anson

This is the sort of image I just keep coming back to, dear Julie. At first it just looks like "building" but then the personalities of those "buildings" start to come through and they speak to me as if they were intelligent beings with a message of some sort, but it is as if they were competing, the three of them, with each other. The intelligence behind the sequential numbers is obvious and powerful, but the building to the right also has a message it is speaking out. Its message is more sophisticated, in that it uses patterns of lines and alternating light and dark spaces, a language I am not familiar with. The furthest building, at the top of the image is almost squeezed out of the available space, but it too has and even more sophisticated message it is trying to pass on, with subtle tonalities of alternating light and dark. This image is very powerful, Julie, and to me conveys the essence of a loud, bustling, and competitive city, what I have always seen in New York. Three hugs for this one, my dear. Anson

Thank you so much for your continued support to my work dear Michele.
Hugs,

I love this one, the angles, the lines and converging of them. Perfect composition in every way, and fantastic exposure control at the top not to overexpose it.

You could be right Wolf. One number lights up at a time for about 30 minutes or so. I am going crazy here trying to figure out what that is, I will find out this weekend for sure.

I think it is part of a hotel Nicki, the main building is actually the taller structure. In that part where the numbers are it looked to be some kind of gallery but there was no sign so I couldn't really tell what it was. Hope you had a good day at work my friend. Still here working, on my lunch break now but it is almost over :(
Thank you!!!!!
Big hug,
Julie.

That smaller part is actually part of the taller building John, it is really interesting how they all connect but you're right the part with the numbers is much smaller. Thank you so much for your comment John.
Be well,
Julie.

Amazing... original...
from the thumpnail I though these are all buildings BUT no.... that is unique, that anyway...boxes of numbers looks like a building because of the angle you use to put it into the image, because of the perspective nobody can see that is something much much much smaller than these huge towers... complements!!!
...PLUS the good line - shape composition you already have...
be well Julie!

Stan  Hill Stan  Hill   {K:35352} 6/3/2008
Looks like I want B 9 for the bingo. I like the depth that the angle creates in your composition. Black and white gives it the big city look. I felt small when I visited Manhattan last June. The angles of the other buildings and the shapes seem to go on to infinity. Be well, Stan :)

An excellent architectural shot. I like the way you have caught the three planes of the buildings. The numbers add a fun (if somewhat puzzling) element.
