Alhoewel wat over gesatureerd is het resultaat zeer mooi. Vooral denk ik, dank zei het contrast met de donkere achtergrond.

Undoubtfully they were masters them all, Wolf! Van Gogh is still one class of its own for me. This is why I asked you if there was any intention for something like a homage on this one.
About the Greek masters... well I am more for Euclid and mathematics! ;-) The other guys like Papapa... were interesting but rather as characters for political satire. You know, Papandreou was some kind of pressure cooker! He was almost made of iron (Greek for too healthy !!) *and* he had a valve (from his bypass)! ;-)
Jassou is the singular form and Jassas is the plural form that we use as a politeness form too. Time for you to visit the land of the Papapap.. paparlapaps again! ;-)

mr Jones, they were all masters the old dutch painters ! van Gogh, Vermeer, Rembrandt, Rubens etc.
Like the Greeks have their Greeks ( uh Socrates, Papapasomething ) , we have our masters.
Jassou or was it Jassas .... ( too long ago, Crete 1988 ) .

In general I am not as much into flower images, Wolf, but when it is such a good photo I must say: Great! The color contrast added much to the power of contours, and I am especially astonished by the clarity of your yellows (which I always manage to overexpose :-D)) The dried out flowers on the top left add a very welcome tension in the green background. And the composition is as pure and balanced as it can get. Nothing too much and nothing too little.
You remind me for some reasons of the sunflowers with this. Any adhesion to the one and only Dutch master? ;-) Seriously, I think he would be happy to see this one.

Dont know about your laptop screen but the colors are indeed oversaturated ( the yellow ) ..

Hi Harry - A lovely image of a nice Gazania specimen. Great colours (looks slightly oversaturated, causing the yellows to smear - it might be my poor laptop screen though!). Great floral!
