About	Taken a few years ago, this Hawk was on a stand in part of an Easter Show in England. I don't agree with tethering birds however couldn't avoid taking the shot. Cropped in from a "head and shoulders portrait" I love the out of focus green background and the intensity of the birds stare. Engineered to kill....

Hi Mervo,
Yeah, photographing them that way is a little like shooting fish in a barrel. :)
Even still, a great shot! There is a real nice energy flowing from this portrait. I think it has to do with the colour pattern of the feathers on the face.

I agree with you about tethering birds but we can take pictures from them to have bird and others forever.
