Oh, come on now, Visar, that was really no problem! Or if it was, I was too stupid to get that right away!
I see what you mean aboit a strong tele. Indeed it would have compressed depth and distance as you say. Up to today I didn't find any possibility to achieve this effect using less strong tele lenses. Of course I can go closer and use some shorter focal length but it is not the same.
But, in case of a big tele it could also be that it is too slow, i.e you perhapsn couldn't have the whole DoF that you needed. Still it would be good to try that out, I guess. If for nothing else then merely for seeing what it does. Experimental results are the fundaments of any theory.
Cheers!

Hey Nick,
i apologize for not being clear enough in my previous reply. the answer is YES, the house in the background, that we see through the window, is an ex ambulance.
as i replied to Bobot, i only wished for a tele objective, say 400 mm, to go further back and get this shot- the same one; that way i think, the distance between the window and ambulance would be pressed and stand better. I even tried, with 135 mm, but the vintage point was lower, and i lost the entrance of ambulance and gained more of the sky and the roof of it.
cheers, v.

Hi Visar and thanks a lot for the additional information!
I think too that the loss of clarity could be attributed to that crop, but only iff you also scaled it up afterwards. If you didn't scale it up, then perhaps the strong sunlight brought some kind of starting overexposure on their faces?
The house at the depth and in general everything that is visible through the window, is a sudden and huge raise in finer patterns under contrast, and it really has a very symbolical look to me. It looks like the origin, the heritage, where the kids come from. A place that they carry in mind. This is why I asked. It makes such a strong impression! I must be stunned the way you managed to get it so sudden, definitite, and strong, as if it were a small fragment floating over the "imaginary rest" of the image. I am only glad to see that good skills remain good all the time.
BTW, with "ambulance" you mean the house? Or do I completely misunderstand you?
Cheers!
Nick

Hey Nick, thanks for the straight note.
I cropped this image from vertical to landscape thinking of having the kids' faces closer and more integrated. in this crop i think all elements are standing better, though your note just made me think of the quality of it- could it be from the crop that their clearness faded!?
when you say "add on", do you mean a post-processing/ like added additionally, after the image was already taken? if so, the answer is NO. (This series, is taken in B&W and apart for this image which i burnt in some parts of the shadows and the crop- the rest are posted just the way i took them). That is the ambulance, or was the ambulance, which i had paid many visits :). In fact, that ambulance, was my prime attraction to getting this shot- symbolically speaking, i like doors and windows in my shots; and here I have a good line of them; the one just behind the kids, then the door of the ambulance, and again the window that we see after another dark invisible door.
thank you a lot Nick, cheers, v.

With some small doubts about the "clearness" on their faces, you just continue your series in a very consistent way, Visar! So the series is a a real series both for the subject but also for the presentation of the subject. The atmosphere remains very recognizable along the series - all images breath the same air.
Is the house right in the middle some "add-on"? Anyway, it adds interest and weight to the scene.
Cheers!
Nick

no worries Mohamad, i do understand what you mean with that. though, i think children do not really care of how we, the adults, etiquette atmospheres around our environment.

I do not really think that that child-times of ours will ever die; the mere fact of remembering that sheer joyful laugh talks of a child within us.

yes, it was such a playground for my camera Bobot- a great one i must say, and i think i should go back there and do more shots.
I thought of going further back and make the same picture with a tele and have the distance pressed a bit, but the vintage point would be lower and i would lose those steps,
I am glad you brought that up, thansk a lot, v.

the idea of this series is a bit egoistic Gerhard, as this used to be my playground too, and now it is my brother's too and his peers. it is strange, cause all of them kids in this seire have their computers and plastic toys at home but they'd never change this old ruin with anything.
thanks a lot, v.

The place doesn't look very good in this condition, I can see the shadows of the roof frame but i can see a lot of opportunities with this setting.. So this is still your playground till now but with a different toy, a camera...:) ;) wonderful framing of the doorstep of the other house, interesting shadows.. great shot Visar!
