About Well, the project says "Don't be afraid to violate the standard rules of photography" so away I went... liked the original Tree Dahlia but wasn't quite what I wanted. Had a play in PShop and this is the end result...

Mary Sue...

Used the extrude filter in PShop 7.0, as regards the yellow centres, will have a further play and see. As regards the background, this was a result of the extrude filter in PShop... I will try and attach the original to this comment (haven't done this before)...

Leonie, this is an interesting exploration of the Creative Flower project. I'd still like a bit more detail visible in the yellow centers, even if you have to PS it in there. Can you describe what PS work you did to achieve this effect?

The mottled background works well, and the lighting looks nice here, too.
