Amazing! What holds it up? It looks so old and fragile, yet, improbably, it is still there! Great travel image, Dave! Eb

Grogeous greens, light, and TEXTURES Dave!! I love brick and you'd have to drag me away from this place. A nice angle and good use of framing with the arches...very nice work!! :)

Lovely texture and colours on the wall Dave. The sweeping curve takes one further into the photo and the person on the bench provides further depth. Personally, the one aspect thet bothers me is the lighting - seems to have been taken close to mid of day resulting in the harsh contrast between sky and bricks, vegetation and path in the background. Aware of the fact that its not always possible to take photographs on the ideal time of day, I still wonders what difference it would make to mood and lighting if this was taken late afternoon or early morning. Kind regards and thanks for your visits! Joggie

You have very nice details both on the wall as also on the green, Dave! The light balance is very impressing! But I find also your composition quite good here, much in the sense of images of some book about the region. I have the impression of being there myself.
Cheers!
Nick

This kind of historic image is priceless Dave. Just think about it. You were there where Romans passed by in the millions over centuries. These kind of ruins look terrific in b&w as well. Andre

Nice shot Dave.
I like the tone of the unlit side of the wall and the shadow on the ground give the image another dimension, too bad you didn't have a more cooperative sky in the background.
All the best, Ed

Very nice composition, Dave! I really like your success at making a photo within a photo with the view through the arches. Good exposure in the sunny and shady areas, with the correct emphasis on allowing the details of the wall to be expressed.
Wow, the Romans built it and it still stands! Now that's quality! It looks like most of the rock was cut (squarish) but there are also areas of a rougher looking construction. I wonder if that rougher work represents repairs done to the aquaduct. A very interesting photo!

Great shot, nice architecture, really ancient and nice ruinness Dave, and even you have here the shadowed side of the building against the lighting, the details looks pretty well... I like that there is a human into a gate...that gives another main element into your image. best regards!
