I miss this message too! Thanks again, Visar! It seems that some messages went lost. Though I can't understand how this can happen. Delay can happen, but any mail server will keep on retrying to send the message if it gets no reception acknowledgement. :-/

And of course the next time I'll visit Florence I'll have no available excuse. Oops, I guess I'm in troubles now! ;-)

Cheers and a big thanks!

Nick

hahah--
i am sure, a revisit of Florence would produce great travel images. especially now after you have been there; 'cause the first time is for seeing, second for studing.

no experimenting, only doing ;).
but, of course, much of the times we do have diverse tastes on shots and that can do nothing less then enrich this great form of expression.

cheers Nick,
v.

Which means some exposure combensation upwards at shooting time, and for which I am very grateful, Visar! The question is if the other parts wouldn't get overexposed then, but I think that this is matter of experimenting and seeing then..

Quite interesting to see that the views diverge here. My impression is that the shadows do good, as David also said. But still, this should be proven by testing-experimenting. It seems that another visit to Florence is absolutely necessary.

Thanks a lot!

Yes, such strong shadows raise the dynamics and of course also the plasticity of the subject, such that it gets more "tangible". I am glad for the balance here, which shows me that a good compromise between highlights and shadows is possible.

Thanks a lot once again, Dave!

At last I a managed to get the perspective undistorted, which seems to make some certain civil engineers very happy, ey?

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Gustavo!

Nicely done architectural shot, Nick, and in this case I think the strong shadows complement the image.

ahhh, bravo por las verticalidades!, me gustan los contrastes duros y sin dudas es una marvillosa arquitectura, la luz lateral es muy buena.

Felicitaciones!
