i like the picture but I wish there was a bit more contrast and toning maybe with a dodge and burn tool up at the top with all the limbs that seem to just become one big blur...the picture is nice composition though I think the sepia does something to soften the dramatic effect it could really have.

Hi Kurt Thanks for the comment. I suppose the title and the photo may be unsuited. When taking the photo I had much more positive feelings towards the place so was trying to capture the beauty of the little beach where I was. Thanks again kev

Hi Tony Thanks for the comment. Always appreciated. I also took the shot in B&W and it worked well, though I felt the sepia had a nice dreamy feel. I've attached it here anyway Best wishes Kev

I think this scene has lots of potential. The stone steps certainly lead the eye, but I feel that the lighting is too bright here. "lost in the forest" seems to imply a feeling of fright or despair and I think that a darker image might have conveyed that feeling more successfully.
Best regards, Kurt

Interesting scene which is carefully composed but maybe a more contrasty Black and white would have suited the subject better. All the best , Tony
